I was kinda upset seeing the google group and gitter close down. But they were not that populated so having a dedicated and independent forum is a nice change! Sadly, I wasn't aware of that change and the fact that lux has a forum. It was only after application of conscious effort I actually found it. So yeah. Still congrats!

Having 2 ways of spreading information (Google Group and Gitter) wasn't very practical.
Gitter was more dynamic than GG, but there was only one place for talking (the main chat), so it was harder to just talk about individual topics, unless only one topic was ever discussed at a time.
I thought a forum would be a great middle-point between GG and Gitter.
